Grant Programs

Since 2007, the Artis Grant Program has demonstrated significant support for international exhibitions and projects that advance innovative thinking about contemporary visual art from Israel. We are proud to have awarded over $1,000,000 in grants to 60 organizations in 16 countries in support of landmark exhibitions and projects at institutions. In 2015, The Artis Grant Program is expanding to support four grant areas that emphasize innovation, experimentation, cultural exchange, and artistic excellence in accordance with our Core Values.

Public Programs

Artis has shaped the role and recognition of visual art from Israel by commissioning and presenting ambitious public programs in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and London, including lectures, performances, exhibitions, artist talks and commissions. With a commitment to meaningful partnerships with esteemed institutions and platforms, Artis is proud to have partnered with MoMA/PS1, the New Museum, Performa, Tate Modern, and MoCA Los Angeles, in addition to participation in NADA art fairs in Miami and New York in 2011, 2012, and 2014 and the Armory Show in 2015. Artis public programs are always free and open to the public.

Research Trips

Research Trips

Since 2007, Artis has hosted nearly 200 museum directors, curators, writers and critics from around the world on our semi-annual Research Trips to Israel. This program provides the opportunity for participants to explore cultural developments in Israel and create a platform for projects and initiatives to emerge. Itineraries span visits to museums, alternative art spaces, collections and studios; presentations with leading artists, curators, and influential thinkers; architectural walks and visits to historic sites.
