Stroom Den Haag will be present at Art Amsterdam a solo presentation by Alon Levin, an artist who perfectly personifies the current cultural dynamics of the city of The Hague. In addition to a new installation by Alon Levin entitled 'The Object as Never Seen Before (Who Said the World Was Round)', Stroom will also launch the free art magazine 'DH//', emphasizing the international strength of the current art climate in The Hague.

Alon Levin (1975, Israel) lives and works in The Hague and Berlin. Following his education at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (1998-2002) he attended the Rijksakademie (2005-2006) as an artist in residence. In 2008 he was artist in residence at ISCP New York and a year later at State University New York in New Paltz. In 2007 he was nominated for the Prix de Rome in Amsterdam and in 2008 for the Cartier Award of the Frieze Foundation in London. Over the past few years he exhibited at a.o. CCS Bard, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York; Kunsthalle Basel; CAC Vilnius; David Roberts Art Foundation, London; De Appel, Amsterdam; HVCCA, Peekskill, New York; Stroom Den Haag ('Since wel last spoke about monuments', 2008) and Living Art Museum, Reykjavik. Alon Levin is represented by KLEMM's, Berlin and AMBACH & RICE, Seattle. Since 2007 he had been a teacher at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
