Leor Grady: In Order of Appearance
Leor Grady, In Order of Appearance (2006)
The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery features the work of artists from all over America. It celebrates excellence and innovation, with a strong focus on the variety of portrait media used by artists today.
Leor Grady's film, "In Order of Appearance," is one of only two finalists in the Competition. It is a short video list of people in order of their appearance in the artist's life. The piece follows the cinematic format of a credit scroll, and concludes with credits to cities, places and times.
