Ariel Schlesinger: If everything would have happened, the way it was supposed to happen, if there was any plan in the first place
Ariel Schlesinger, Extended Ikea Pencil and Untitled (two biscuits), 2007
Ariel Schlesinger continues turning daily products of consumption into rare and surreal objects. By "tranforming" and "damaging” using simple technologies and domestic accessories, Schlesinger creates a world of poetical imagery. Two Ikea pencils connected together, two white pages moving toward each other – like a magician Schlesinger deconstructs and constructs love with the most basic elements.
